Bicentenario Park – Santiago of Chile

Bicentenario Park is a nature park set on one side of the capital’s financial district, better known as “Sanhattan”. This park is located in the heart of the Vitacura community, bordering the south riverside of the Mapocho.

A very modern and well-tended park full of walks across extensive lawns, seriously very extensive. We started walking from the east side of the park, and at some stage, I got tired of walking on the grass.

Bicentenario Park is very impressive due to its size but also has lots of wildlife, there are black-neck swans, flamingos and other birds and fish, which can be fed by visitors in two artificial lagoons.

The Town Hall and Civic Center of Vitacura can be found in the Northern section of the park. This building, composed largely of marble and glass, compliments the style of the rest of the park well.
